About the role

The Food & Beverage Manager will take full ownership of the F&B offering at YOTEL Istanbul, which includes KOMYUNITI, the central hub, beating heart of the hotel, a multifunctional space designed to create a sense of community whether for work or play. It is where life happens and is shared. It is where people connect.

The Food & Beverage Manager will have overall responsibility for driving and overseeing the operations of the Food & Beverage offering – including:

• KOMYUNITI
• Bar & Lounge
• Meeting space

Reporting to the hotel General Manager, the Food & Beverage Manager will serve as a key member of the hotel senior management team.

More specifically responsibilities will include the following:

• The role will be responsible for the smooth running of Food & Beverage on a day-to-day basis.
• To direct all activities of Food & Beverage to ensure quality, efficiency in service whilst driving volume and sales in all areas of responsibility.
• Create and come up with new ideas to continue to support our hotel guests and the local community a place to relax and enjoy.
• Responsibility for all food, health & safety matters within the hotel.
• Collaborate with the senior hotel management team to drive innovation and continued development of the guest journey.
• To ensure profitability, efficiency and creativity in every Food and Beverage venue, including banquets, outdoor catering events, and in-room food service.
• To partner with Sales & Marketing. Mission Control and Pre-Arrival Crew to increase the visibility and coverage of Food and Beverage venues in various local and international media.
• To approve the menus, prices and promotional events of all Food and Beverage venues to maximize revenue-generating opportunities.
• To encourage proactive, efficient, and effective communication and working practices between departments to promote an environment of teamwork, enthusiasm, and productivity.
• To be able to understand Airport operation dynamics to stay ahead of trend to make necessary adjustments for F & B Operation and marketing.
• Managing the budget of the entire Food & Beverage department, monitoring and controlling expenses to achieve targeted FB Profit.
• Analyzing, controlling food and beverage costs and achieving financial goals and accurately predicting financial performance.
• To constantly review and control operational costs without reducing the quality and guest experience.
• Working in close cooperation with Finance to regularly review financial performance.
