ROOM SERVICE WAITER
An exceptional opportunity presents itself for room service waiter to be part of flagship Rixos Tersane İstanbul. It is a newly constructed hotel that will be representative of refine hospitality. Rixos Tersane İstanbul will present 432 bedrooms.
You will be part of a strong pre-opening Food & Beverage team who will be showcasing the property.
Duties and Responsibilities s:
- To serve food and beverage orders.
- To provide high standard of quality and speedy service.
- To set tables for different meal periods and reset them during high turnovers.
- To send soiled and collect clean linen from laundry before and after lunch service.
- To prepare mise-en-place and perform side duties.
- To send and collect operating equipment for burnishing according to the schedules established by the Stewarding Department.
- To collect all general requisitions and food and beverage requisitions.
- To insure that the service area is kept clean and organized at all times
- To assist in opening and closing procedures established for the outlet.
- To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu.
- To ensure that the service station and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times
- To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage, waste and breakage
- To handle guest enquiry’s in a courteous and efficient manner
- To handle amenity refreshments according to guest profiles
- To ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and in good condition, ensuring that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and a demonstrate a professional image for our guests
- To ensure that mise en place is completed shift to shift and during service in order to provide an efficient service
- To ensure a full knowledge of the menu and wine list in order to respond or amend guests requests to their full satisfaction
- To greets guests and establish rapport in order to ensure guest satisfaction
- To ensure that the restaurant is kept clean and in appropriate order at all times
- To ensure all dishes are presented in compliance with hotel standards and food & beverage specifications
- To deliver service according to hotel standards and guest requirements in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner
Qualifications:
- University degree
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English Language
