Regulatory Specialist (Fixed Term-1 Year Contract)

The department Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) is responsible for product safety and regulatory aspects of flavors, fragrances and their ingredients for use in consumer products for various markets in the region. The Regulatory Specialist, Flavor Product Compliance will be part of the regional AMETI (Africa, Middle East, Turkey, India) Flavour Product Compliance Team.  The Regulatory Specialist provides regulatory affairs expertise, compliance advice and documentation support and is able to communicate with customers and with local/national authorities on flavour and food compliance related matters.

This opportunity is a Temporary (fixed term) position with 1 Year Contract.

Required Experience:

• Four Years bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a science based discipline (e.g. food, chemistry)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in regulatory compliance or related field
• Experience & understanding of customer’s need and regulatory obligation.

Required Skills:

•  Must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills, including strong verbal and written skills in English.
• Strong critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and possess a working knowledge of associated office software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

Key Responsibilities:

• Able to interpret regulatory rules or rule changes and ensure that they are communicated through corporate policies and procedures,
• Demonstrate expertise in product compliance, review flavor formulas for compliance with applicable regulations (especially for Turkey, India, Middle East and Africa Market), customer requirements and industry guidelines,
• Able to operate effectively within our regulatory systems, documentation systems, and office systems,
• Able to communicate effectively between departments and external associations with varying priorities,
• Provide customer support to sales, creation and application for flavor regulatory issues. Prepare customer documentation for flavor formulas,
• Demonstrate diligence and an attention to detail,
• Build system/regulatory expertise to facilitate meeting customer requests efficiently.
