QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a “Engineering Manager” for our multinational client with the qualifications below;
REQUIREMENTS
- Required Degree in Mechanical Engineering,
- Min 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in automotive and/or machine industry,
- Design Engineering experience with electromechanical and/or hydraulic products,
- Understanding of mechanical designs and manufacturing processes, in particular what is called DFM (Design For Manufacturing),
- The analytical ability for difficult / complex technical problems, with a specific approach towards the modular design platform and components variety reduction,
- Experience or familiarity in the following areas desired:
Computer Aided Design (CAD), 2/3D, Creo (formerly Pro/ENGINEER)
Computer simulation tools
Design validation planning
Production and new product introductions
- Gasps quickly the essence of a complex situation, without having to master it first,
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others,
- MS Office skills,
- Presentation skills,
- Fluent English language verbal and written communications skills,
- No military obligation for male candidates,
- Availability to travel abroad in case of need
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the R&D team including design office, tool shop and test laboratory,
- Manage the projects, engineering design and release activities to meet cost, performance, and timing commitments,
- Act as a product design, development and validation liaison engineer between local and international engineering staff,
- Provide technical support for existing product range to other functional areas,
- Use after sales service statistics in product design and improvement studies,
- Ability to define a complete product specification according to the market requirements and cost analysis,
- Prepare material procurement specification,
- Coordinate product design implementations to engineering standard practices as defined by company
- Work with the global engineering organization and ensure coordination with design and development activities,
- Apply and follow relevant R&D incentives provided by various government bodies,
- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
