Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Instrument Engineer to join our team. The Senior Instrument Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems across various projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems for new projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Develop project specifications, scope of work documents, and engineering drawings for instrumentation systems, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, such as process, electrical, and mechanical, to integrate instrumentation systems into overall project designs.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and designers on instrumentation-related issues and projects.
• Perform technical reviews and evaluations of vendor proposals, equipment specifications, and instrumentation software packages.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and other safety reviews to identify and mitigate risks associated with instrumentation systems.
• Support procurement activities by preparing material requisitions, reviewing vendor submittals, and participating in factory acceptance tests (FATs) as needed.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and startup of instrumentation systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation-related issues during construction, commissioning, and operation phases, providing timely resolution and technical support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of instrumentation designs, specifications, as-built drawings, and technical reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6years of experience in instrumentation engineering, with a focus on industrial projects such as chemical plants, refineries, or manufacturing facilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency in engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, SPI, or SmartPlant Instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, including process control systems, field instrumentation, and safety instrumented systems (SIS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of successfully leading engineering projects from concept to completion.
