QUALIFICATIONS
We seek for a “R&D Manager” who will be able to demonstrate knowledge in Besler (part of Yildiz Holding) in R&D, in Pendik / Istanbul location with below qualifications;
- University degree in Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering,
- Min. 10 years of experience in R&D department, preferably in food companies, preferably in Fats&oils sector,
- Food industry experience is strongly preferred,
- Having project management skills to deliver projects on time with good quality,
- Good at research findings into short/long-term strategy and actions,
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English,
- Good knowledge of MS office programs, preferably good knowledge of SAP,
- Cross-functional project team coordination,
- Problem solving mindset,
- Strong project management skills,
- Tracking and communication of key project achievements, risks, and issues,
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently,
- Attention to detail and accuracy, sense of urgency and flexibility,
- Good understanding of production plant and procedures,
- Ability to work efficiently to meet objectives with team members of another department,
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, and with customers,
- Willing to live in Anatolian side of İstanbul,
- No obligation for military service (for male candidates).
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
- Thinking creatively to develop prototypes, manage formulations, and technically lead projects.
- Being adaptive to changing priorities and uncertainty in the fuzzy front end of innovation.
- Coordinating the innovation process by building and maintaining product development timelines and tracking project progress.
- Working together with Production and Quality Departments to ensure new products are within specifications and regulations.
- Proven ability to work within a collaborative team environment and provide informal guidance to team members.
- Develop and execute test plans for formulation and process optimization, determining ingredient functionality and product impact.
- Lead specification documentation process, including customer specifications, finished product nutritionals and regulatory compliance.
- Determine project execution and implementation, including formula, ingredients, equipment and processes to target.
- Evaluate products, determining if products are acceptable, meet target specifications, etc.
- Identify technical innovations that result in cost / labor savings, product / equipment improvements and other areas of optimization.
- Ensuring the cost and quality optimization of manufactured products.
- Coordinating production processes according to R&D principles.
- Following innovative technologies & solutions and applying the know-how into production and projects, carrying out the development of studies.
