We are looking for a Sustainability Manager for YILDIRIM Holding to be assigned at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in related fields (engineering, science, or sustainability/ESG-related disciplines)
- Minimum 10 years' experience (5+ years' experience in sustainability/ESG-related disciplines)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Documented training in one or more sustainability/ESG standard(s)
- Experience with ESG reporting tools a plus
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in MS Office
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels and across cultures
- Strong communication, presentation and ethical skills
- Ability to adapt to change and find creative solutions
- Highly motivated team player and decision maker who takes initiative in planning and organizing various work assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Support ESG policies, programs, standards and procedures to help ensure their implementation across the Group
- Support the overall execution, mission and effectiveness of the Group's and individual entities' ESG policies and programs
- Prepare data and documents required for ESG reporting to funding agencies, investors and other financial institutions according to one or more recognized standards (e.g. TCFD, GRI, GRESB)
- Assist in the preparation of sustainability/ESG reports for YILDIRIM Group
- Manage data collection, verify data and observations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines
- Provide analysis for issues such as energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste management, transportation, education and building design
- Ensure effective implementation of the Group's ESG strategy, programs and plans as assigned
- Manage consultant contracts as required; monitor consultant work to ensure contract terms are met; monitor work programs and schedules to ensure timely project completion
- Project management engagements to deliver high quality work in a timely manner, including scoping / budgeting / engagement and risk management / production and review of deliverables
- Work closely with a mix of onshore and offshore team members
- Coach and develop team members by sharing experience and knowledge, and managing the performance and development of other team members
- Draft and prepare reports, presentations and proposals
- Liaise with stakeholders in Finance, Risk Management and other functions to gather, review and prepare information for ESG/Sustainability reporting
- Prepare ESG newsletter and other internal/external communication materials
- Ensure that the business operates in strict compliance with regulatory requirements Provide professional and technical input and review input from others in the design and development of ESG department deliverables
- Assess the ESG risks of activities and advise management on potential impacts, including risk reduction and impact mitigation measures
